Inspiring Creativity
Kris founded Inspire Creativity Incorporated (ICI) with his friend. Kris serves as the nonprofit organization’s Chief Executive Officer, whose main job is to manage funding from grants, plan future strategy and teaching trips, and maintain ICI’s communication. He also volunteers with the organization, teaching students in rural areas about the design process. Read more about the organization here.
“At beginning, I think you are only my teacher, but now I think you are friend of mine.”
Freelance Filmmaking
Kris has been editing and filming ever since he was 11 years old. He got bored one day and decided to grab the camera and film his dog running up and down stairs. Little did he know that this would be the start to his advertising and documentary filmmaking career. See here for his films.
“I thought an older person filmed the documentary Kris showed me. Or maybe Kris is that older person? ”
Seminar Speaking
In October 2014, Kris travelled to San Antonio, Texas to be a part of the National Rural Education Association (NREA's) annual conference. He talked about the issues he found from his 2012 trip to rural Chinese schools and his ways of solving them.
“I want his non-profit team to come teach alongside some of our teachers!”
